some presents come in big big boxes and theyre easily forgotten, left behind and thrown away. some presents come in shiny wrappers and put a smile on my face for only that instant. but few things come in just the right size.
sure the wrapping might seem slightly torn, the wording slightly faded, the use of twine instead of nice luxurious ribbons. but in that instant, that split second, a sudden warm feeling engulfs me. when nothing anyone says can change my mind. when no matter what kind of surprises i might find inside, i know im prepared for it. in that moment, i find that im in love with you.
when im able to love you for all the wonders that you are, for your gift of two perfectly synced feet - unlike my 2 left feet, for your gift of sincerity - against my lack of, your obvious streak of competitve-ness - unlike my lack of bite.
but more so, i love you so much more because you are you. and theres nothing you ever need to change about you. because youre a perfect fit.
